Witchcraft Suppression Bill in South Africa
The Mpumalanga local government is considering a witchcraft suppression bill that would make it illegal to practice witchcraft in the province.
Supposedly, the bill was designed to prevent the practice of traditional African witchcraft which can include animal sacrifices and the like. But the bill makes no mention of Western witchcraft, such as Wicca, leaving Pagans who practice it wondering if they'll have to abandon their religion or keep it in secret.
